Demolition of Vita Cortex Facility
Client: Lymar Construction Roof Area: 3,500m2 Floor Area: 600m2
Removal of asbestos containing roof sheeting, gaskets, rainwater downpipes and debris. All asbestos containing vinyl floor tiles and adhesive removed by the process of grinding under controlled conditions. Asbestos waste removed safely from site by licensed waste contractor. Area environmentally cleaned and handed back to client following issuing of reoccupation certificate by independent analyst.

Removal of Pipe Insulation from Boston Scientific, Cork
Client: Hegarty Construction Pipe Length: 35m
Removal of pipe insulation from 35m of water pipe located within the attic space of the Boston Scientific premises located on the Model Farm Road, Cork. Due to the confined working area, the enclosure set-up was complicated and difficult. A 3-stage air lock, bag lock and direct connection mobile decontamination unit was installed within the building as part of the works. This site was independently audited by both the Health & Safety Authority (HSA) and our accreditation body (ARCA).

Removal of AIB from a domestic garage, Yougal, Co. Cork
Client: Private. Ceiling Area: 40m2
Removal of Asbestos Insulation Board from a garage ceiling in a Private Dwelling located in Youghal, Co. Cork. AIB removal and disposal is considered notifiable works to the HSA and should only be removed by competent and fully trained personnel. A 3-stage air lock and separate bag lock were installed with a designated transit route to a decontamination unit. An independent analyst completed the 4-stage clearance test prior to issuing a certificate of reoccupation to the homeowners.
